"What happened is an award winning fashion designer in China wrote on his blog claiming that he designed the dress Yifei wore to the Garnier event. He didn't comment on the pink dress but because the two recent dresses Yifei wear bear an resemblance to the more expensive (European) designer clothes lead reporters and some people to comment under the headline that Yifei wear imitation dresses (the actual Chinese term used is more offensive).

It is quite unfortunate if it is true, because it implied that the award winning fashion designer Yifei hired, based his dress design for Yifei on other people's works. This has caused negative publicity to Yifei (for the moment). But in the long run, the designer might just hurt his own reputation."
