Proof that Liu Yifei's winning bid went to Charity (Jet Li's One Foundation for Earthquake Relief). For more info on this, please refer to the August 25, 2008 update.

First up, Aleksey has made a comment in Aug 25, 2008 - 21st Birthday of Crystal Liu Yifei post below. The comments link is at the very end of every post and everyone is welcome to comment! Although there is a moderation factor, thus far, I've not rejected any comments from her fans.

Speaking of fans, Wan Mei offers this cogent insight which pertains to the Aug 25, 2008 - 21st Birthday of Crystal Liu Yifei post below:

"Yifei is saying in this message that she noticed them standing out there and even recognize one of them by name but couldn't reach out to them during that time due to the situation. The text in smaller lettering she probably added as an afterthought "Maybe it is all predestined... (Picture of Heart)" is a encouragement that it is not anyone's fault that the fans couldn't meet her up close that day even though they have tried so hard."

Aug 25, 2008 - 21st Birthday of Crystal Liu Yifei

Hi, per my post at Crystallized, here's my Birthday message to Crystal Liu Yifei:

May God richly bless you in your acting career and keep you in good health, joy and happiness!!!"

Today is my birthday again! Every year at this time, I would receive many warm wishes and blessings from you all. I am really touched - originally I intended to arrange a meeting with you but due to late notice, and so many leaders of (fan) websites being so busy at this time, so (we will) do this next time, yeah? =)

On that day of the charity event, I saw (ID of a Yifei fan) leading a few friends lifting up boards and stood outside the function area. I felt really bad about that, but I couldn’t do anything (for them) =(

Earlier on Aug 22, 2008, Wan Mei found and uploaded lots of pictures of Yifei at the Harper's Bazaar China 2008 charity event!

Yifei also won the Top 10 award at said charity event for bidding three times the value of "a Tiffany Crystal Lantern Necklace designed by Paloma Picasso (the daughter of the famous painter, Pablo Picasso)" and the proceeds are to be given to Jet Li's One Foundation for the earthquake victims.

According to Wan Mei, "Yifei is the only actress or actor who bid (successfully) one of the item in the charity auction. The other successful bidders are mostly the super-rich or corporate leaders." Congratulations to Yifei for receiving the Top 10 Harper's Bazaar China 2008 charity award.

Yifei acted as presenter jointly with Chen Kun (her costar in NOBLE FAMILY), Sun Li (played Yifei's mother in CHINESE PALADIN) and Huang Lei (Sun Li's husband) to present the Cartier Pendant Set sold for charity for auctioneer No. 89 at 1,200,000 (1.2 million) yuan.


Afterwards, in the charity auction Yifei bid 450,000 yuan herself for a Tiffany Crystal Lantern Necklace designed by Paloma Picasso (the daughter of the famous painter, Pablo Picasso).

(The necklace has a reference value of 150,000 yuan, so Yifei paid three times that value for charity)
