Hi, Seraphis of Crystallized posted a brief summary of Crystal Liu Yi Fei's interview with Sohu.

Just in case, the YouTube video of the interview can be viewed here.

"The brief summary below as I promised earlier.

The interview is conducted in a way such that the interviewer would hold up a card with a particular word and asks a question related to the word.

The first word is Taking-off. The interviewer asked if there was any significant take-off point for Yifei in the year 2008. Yifei replied that it was quite significant for her because she has been in the showbiz industry since young and she has since grown from a teenage to an adult. Therefore, her perspective of things and mentality has changed. She feels that it is a starting point for her to become a mature actress. She thinks that starring in a Hollywood film or a Chinese film is of no importance. A good script coupled with a good role would be of greater importance to her.

As usual, the ''Zhang Ziyi'' topic arose, but Yifei humbly brought herself down and brushes off the comparisons.

Yifei also stated that becoming an actress was her dream and being able to act, gives her self-satisfaction which is the reason she works tirelessly in all her roles.

Another question asked was which moments were unforgettable for Yifei in 2008. For Yifei, it was during her attendance in the Hancock premiere,at which she was pleasantly surprised that there are Americans who could recognize her even though she did not star in the movie.

The next word was Tears. I couldn't catch what the interviewer was asking, since his voice was so soft in the video. However, his following question which was when was the most recent occasion where she cried, Yifei cheekily told him that she cannot tell, because even if it was work-related, she was too embarrassed to do so. When asked if her tears in 2008 were mostly tear of joy or tears of sorrow, Yifei replied that it was equal and those sad moments are just small obstacles present in everyday life.

The following word was Enjoyment. The interviewer asked which moments are the most enjoyable for her in 2008, she said that she enjoyed being with her family and also her dogs.

The second last word for the interview was Regrets. Yifei said that her biggest regret in 2008 was being unable to watch the Beijing Olympic live and having to settle for the TV at home due to time constraint related to her work.

Lastly, the word was relating 2009. Yifei mentioned that she had some plans coming up but could not reveal what they were for the mean time. She said that she would reveal to Sohu when she is allowed to. Yifei also revealed that she would be heading to America for some work matters and return to celebrate the Lunar New Year in Beijing.

The last question was a funny one which asked Yifei if she could have a supernatural power of the eve of New Years day, what would it be. Yifei gave a weird answer which shocked the interviewer. She wanted to be able to cook. Lol.
She then explained that she chose it because she didn't know how to cook. The interviewer was obviously still confused and asked how could cooking be a supernatural power. Yifei then explained that what she meant was to be able to cook well, because on the eve of New Year, everyone would be having a reunion dinner (This is a Chinese custom still practiced by Chinese people all around the world), and all she could cook was a fried omelette and fried rice. (Laughs cheerfully after that)

Well, the interview ends there. Any corrections would be welcomed."

HUGE thanks to Seraphis for the above especially when he is in the midst of exams!!!!!
